Voluntary support & your privacy

What your support means

Your support is a voluntary, one-time contribution toward Watchtower’s development, reliability, operations, and growth. It does not purchase a subscription or audit and grants no equity, ownership, voting rights, profit participation, or investment returns. It does not guarantee any future feature or business outcome. We do not claim charitable or tax-deductible status.

Payment information

We collect your private email address, chosen currency and amount, the confirmed GHS charge, any applicable exchange-rate quote, and payment references and status. Paystack processes your payment under its own privacy terms. Watchtower does not store your card number or CVV. Your bank or card issuer may use its own exchange rate and charge additional fees.

We use necessary payment information to confirm and reconcile contributions, handle questions, refunds and disputes, prevent abuse, and keep appropriate financial records. Contributions do not subscribe you to marketing email.

Anonymous support

Anonymous means anonymous to the public. We do not ask for profile details when you choose this option. Your identity, payment email, and contribution amount will not be published. Paystack and authorized payment administrators still handle the information necessary for processing and recordkeeping.

Optional details and acknowledgment

If you choose to share details, we may store your preferred name, country, city or region, organization, LinkedIn profile, how you found us, optional details about the company page or other source, and a personal message. These are optional. Please do not include sensitive information or payment credentials in your message.

Permission to publish your name and permission to mention or tag your LinkedIn profile are separate choices, unchecked by default. Providing a profile link does not grant permission to use it. We record your choices, their wording and version, and the time of consent. A payment never automatically publishes your details or creates a social post.

Your choices and retention

You can withdraw acknowledgment permission from your private confirmation session while it is available, or contact [email protected]. We will suppress website acknowledgment and help remove earlier acknowledgment shared elsewhere. Please contact us to request access, correction, or erasure of optional information. We retain necessary financial records for accounting, legal obligations, and dispute handling; these may need to remain after optional details are erased.

Access to private contribution records is limited to authorized staff. Your browser stores a temporary private confirmation session so you can check the payment without an account. Avoid sharing that session or using a shared browser for sensitive information.

Mistakes and refund requests

If you made a mistake, see a duplicate or unauthorized charge, or want to discuss a refund, contact [email protected] promptly with your reference and payment email. We review requests fairly, subject to applicable rights and payment rules. Approved refunds use the original payment route. Do not send card numbers or security codes.
